Flat Panel technology speakers are similar to conventional cone speakers in as much as they use a conventional magnet and voice coil assembly, however Flat Panel loudspeakers use a flat diaphragm molded from expanded polystyrene in place of the conventiaonal cone made of paper, plastic, or metal.
